You can imagine that the requirements for safety in the food industry, petrochemicals, defense and network management of high-voltage networks are even higher than in other industries. Explosion panels - also called explosion hatches - are frequently used in these sectors. These serve as pressure relief in the event of gas, dust, electrical (short circuit) or chemical explosions. By dissipating the built-up pressure through the panels, structural damage can be kept to a minimum. JAZO supplies these explosion panels - which can only be used in walls - so that repair costs are reduced.
Because the panels are equipped with a Compro-ERM module (Explosion Release Mechanism), it is ensured that the panel opens at a pre-specified overpressure on the inside of the panel. In the unlikely event that an explosion has occurred, the certified rupture modules in the Compro-ERM must be checked and replaced if necessary. The panel closes after the explosion and will not fragment.
It is important that both the inside and outside are kept free of obstacles. The panels are designed in such a way that they remain closed during high wind pressure and wind suction. And because they are available in aluminium, steel and stainless steel, they can be installed in almost any situation. Especially when you consider that they are supplied as a separate panel with a border or as part of a facade. It is important that the required dimensions and opening pressure are carried out or verified in advance by an expert engineer. This way, nothing is left to chance and we are not faced with any surprises.
